First Acer Netbook with Chrome will be Launched

Acer became the first computer manufacturer to offer a netbook with the Chrome based Operating System. Acer chairman JT Wang said his side are very confident to be the first OS to the gates of Google’s open source. This Chrome netbook mentioned will be ready to be launched in mid-2010.

Acer is just one of several hardware manufacturers that plan to cooperate with Google in the Chorme implementation. In addition to Acer, there are Asus, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo and Toshiba mentioned tempted also creates Chrome-based netbooks.

While Dell, though not stated will fully come into Chrome netbook market, has released an experimental version of the Chrome will be embedded in a series of Dell Mini 10V netbook. Even so, because it is still in the experimental stage it is not a netbook can be regarded as their official product.

Wang did not want to mention the detail specifications Chrome based netbook being cultivated.
